Slough (UK), 30 January 2025 – Nico Reynders, General Manager of UCB UK & Ireland has been appointed Vice Chair of the European Medicines Group (EMG). 

In this role, Nico joins representatives from 21 other European headquartered, research-based pharmaceutical companies operating in the UK to work with the NHS, Government and other key stakeholders to support an operating environment which means the people of the UK can benefit from timely access to and uptake of the innovative medicines developed by these companies. 

Accepting the position, Nico said: “I am honoured to join the EMG in this leadership capacity. I look forward to working with the Chair, co-Vice Chair and colleagues from other companies to take accountability for engaging with Government, the NHS and other stakeholders to develop the UK health system to support innovative science and deliver the treatments it offers to patients here when they need them most.” 

Nico became General Manager for UCB UK & Ireland in September 2024 and is also a Board member of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI).
