UCB is keen to encourage motivated ambitious individuals to join the company, however the company recognises the need to maintain a balance between work and home life, and has put in a place a number of measures to help employees contribute to the company without putting undue strain on their personal life.
We operate a flexible working policy which allows employees with childcare responsibilities to work part-time, during term-time or at home. Other employees can also benefit from flexible working arrangements so long as business commitments can be met. The annual holiday entitlement of 25 days (plus public holidays) can be extended to 30 days, if desired, through the Flexible Benefits scheme while the Childcare Benefit scheme allows employees to purchase childcare vouchers without paying NI or income tax.
The Employee Assistance Programme provides a 24 hour telephone help-desk service, and face-to-face counselling where needed, offering information, support and counselling on work and personal matters.
