Personal development and leadership

At UCB, employees drive their own performance, training and development by setting “smart” objectives, taking into account our goals and their aspirations. Performance is managed through continuous dialogue between the employee and manager and an informal mentoring process.

Leadership in all employees, not just managers, is actively encouraged at UCB to build a high performance culture. To train and develop leadership skills, we offer a number of programmes designed to:

  • Help employees understand their styles and strengths, and the skills they need to develop
  • Enable them to facilitate and implement change in the organisation
  • Encourage them to take ownership of initiatives and
  • Develop their capacity to lead our teams successfully towards shared objectives.

In addition to leadership training, development programmes include training, job shadowing, coaching and location overseas.
